New York County Collaborative

New York, New York

The New York County Collaborative is a partnership between Barrier Free Living, The New York County District Attorney’s Office, Harlem Independent Living Center, Crime Victims Treatment Center of Mount Sinai St. Luke’s and Roosevelt Hospitals, and CONNECT.  Together, the collaboration is addressing barriers that Deaf individuals encounter when they disclose sexual or domestic violence.

Our Unique Contribution

The New York County Collaborative includes agencies from across the spectrum of service providers.  By focusing on the unique experience and needs of Deaf survivors, they are improving the overall experience for Deaf survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, at every access point in New York County.
