Campos Seguros
Campos Seguros provides the farm worker community access to vital community resources as well as education around sexual assault and workplace harassment, human trafficking and domestic violence. The farm worker community faces numerous barriers in seeking help from community resources including a lack of knowledge about resources and services, language access obstacles, fear of deportation and fear of reporting crimes. Monarch’s staff provides information and programming to farm workers on the growing fields early in the morning or late in the evening, at farm worker housing facilities, through Migrant Head Start, and at local churches and community events. Since its inception Monarch has reached over 6,000 farmworkers and has seen significant increases in the number of services provided to new clients from the farm worker community. In serving this underserved and marginalized community the Monarch staff strives to bring quality services that give voice and action to the experiences of the farm worker community.
