Empowerment Director, Deaf Hope

As a CODA (Child of Deaf Adults) and certified sign language interpreter, Ambers life and career has centered in Deaf communities. As one of the founding members of DeafHope, she is an Empowerment Director under their collective leadership structure. Through the Deaf Action InitiativeAmber provides training and support to domestic and sexual violence programs throughout the country. Additionally, she developed a national training for interpreters working in trauma-based settings. She is working to be an accomplice in transforming the systems that create oppression, privilege and violence.
